Attire, Books and Gift Ideas

Riding Attire: Helmets are required at Highland Riding School and we provide helmets of all sizes at the stable for students' use. For safety, we require all our students to ride in a true low heeled riding boot or shoe. For comfort, we recommend that our students ride in a pair of well fitted breeches. We recommend that our students, especially our younger riders, wear riding gloves.

Don't hesitate to ask your HRS instructor for advice when selecting riding attire. There are numerous catalogs offering equestrian attire. We have listed our online favorites on our Links page. Local equestrian attire and equipment retailers are: Western Saddlery in Pleasanton, Christensen's in Pleasanton and Livermore and State Line Tack at Pet'sMart, Dublin.
